MOT'd until 22 march 2010.The best combination of performance and economy!1985 Capri 2.8 injection Special fitted with Ford Granada/Sierra 2 litre EFI engine and 4 speed sport auto gear box-with cruise control.Built in 1993 using a virtually new engine from a written-off K reg Granada-it is logbooked as CAPRI 2.0 INJECTION and was inspected,by Government engineer,when commissioned in 1993.Approx 130 bhp but considerably lighter than a V6 cologne so performance not far behind the original engine,but handles MUCH better than a standard 2.8.This is now a popular CAPRISPORT modification,but I believe at the time(1993)this was the first one built. All the right bits,anti-dive kit,vents,decambered LEDA rear springs,-1" front springs,(still goes over speed bumps!)LSD axle(in excellent order)15" Brooklands alloys (5 of with good tyres all in vgc,these are £550 a set from CAPRI CLUB )1/2 leather Recaro interior(very good apart from usual drivers seat bolster wear)leather steering wheel,monster stereo-6 disc PIONEER changer in boot,PIONEER KEH-M7400 head unit,7 speaker units inc 12" sub behind seat,3 way KENWOOD crossover system,240WATT KENWOOD 4 channel power amp,electric ariel(hi-fi cost over £1500,bills supplied). Digital CB79 remote alarm/immobiliser-closes windows and locks car up after 45 seconds,delocked.Fitted trip computer and cruise control in custom centre console.The 4 speed auto box has been modified to change up later to give more "driveability" so,if you want it to,it accelerates like a bat out of hell!KandN induction.Huge Granada radiator with 2 fans.Power steering.Nice QUIET exhaust.Has been modified so all 4 headlamp are hi and lo beam i.e. there are 4 headlamps on when on dipped as well as hi beam-night visibility is AMAZING!12 months MOT 22/03/2010 and can tax at cost to purchaser.Has been dry stored for 2 years,but started and properly warmed up regularly-it has NEVER failed to start 1st turn of the key in 6 years of ownership.It runs perfectly and CAN return 40mpg if you have more self control than me (runs on un-leaded without additives).NOW THE NOT SO GOOD STUFF-The car is very solid but scruffy,the drivers side innerwing/strut top has been repaired and,while solid and MOT worthy,it is not pretty,the front wings,bonnet and front panel are rusty BUT in the asking price I will include an excellent used bonnet and original used Ford passenger side wing in vgc and a pattern drivers side wing.The panels currently on the car are all repairable so the car could be used without fitting the replacement parts,just give a quick tidy up-I am not doing this so a prospective buyer sees the real condition of the car not a "tarted-up-to-sell" job.There are also some spares that i will include in the sale price. I WILL NOT BREAK THIS CAR,although I could easily get my asking price if I did (CCI are currently asking £425 for an LSD axle and £275 for 1/2 leather interiors)If the full price is paid I will supply with the parts package mentioned above,I am prepared to discuss dropping the price should the car be sold without the spares.I recommend coming to view the car,I have tried to give the best picture I can of the car but I always like to see for myself.Thanks for looking Nix .
