Jaguar 2.8 XJ6 fitted with 4.2ltr eng SOLD (1972) C73320 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | This 1972 car has been subject to an extensive restoration by the current owner over a period of 6 years,the tired 2.8 has been replaced with a 4.2ltr engine and the differential has been changed as well, both axles have been removed and fully rebuilt using new parts, The body has been stripped to bare metal and resprayed in BRG two pack paint (note very little rust was found). The car has new Pirelli tyres and new power steering rack the engine bay is highly detailed as is all the work that has been carried out by the fastidious owner she has a current MOT and is tax exempt. The interior is mostly the original apart from the headliner. The reason for this reluctant sale is the pleasure is in the restoring not the use of this beautiful car, the next project looms.
