Huge & Fast Mopar Wagon! For Sale (1967) edit C73751 | | | Here is one cool car – it’s a wagon, it’s a Mopar, it has a 440! This is not your usual wagon. No wood; blacked windows, big American Racing Outlaw alloy wheels with (new) white letter tyres, dual exhaust with loud Flowmaster 40 mufflers. It is a genuine 1967 Chrysler Town & Country Wagon amazingly still fitted with the high horsepower 440 TNT which has not been pulled for a Charger or race car project. Besides being huge it is also very fast – into the 16 second quarter mile times at the Mopar Nationals in July 2008. This car had every option when new, except for a limited slip rear end; automatic transmission, air conditioning power windows, power seats, power tailgate, rear bumper steps and grab handles. It was marketed as 'a luxury car which also happened to be a station wagon'. The kids just love riding in the 3rd row seat looking out the back window, waving at the other cars and listening to the Beach Boys on the 1500 watt stereo. You'll enjoy driving it up front too. This car has so much torque it just pulls and pulls and keeps on going. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's a wagon with 3 rows of seats and a huge load space; it is faster than many Chargers, Satellites and the like. The 440 TNT special edition engine in this big old beast is well sorted and likes to run - it will embarrass many a 'fast' car! The air conditioning was fully overhauled and recommissioned in Florida in 2007 before being imported. The front drum brakes have been replaced with big Police spec Unicast discs and a new master cylinder and booster. They are very very sharp and very effective; unlike the usual Mopar brakes. Much work has been done mechanically and whilst it might appear scruffy it has that cool retro genuine Florida sun baked patina but underneath is a super solid super straight car.
