Skoda 1.3 Classic fuel injected long MOT SOLD (2000)
|Skoda Falicia 1.3 Classic|
Totally reliable and economic Skoda Felicia 1.3. Lots of service history right up to 58000 miles. It is running on fully synthetic oil. Mileage right now is 68216, but I may put a few more on as I'm still using it.
Parts are very cheap indeed and being a fairly simple car there isn't much to go wrong. Starts, runs, stops perfectly. Pulls surprisingly well for a little 1.3 engine. Very good road holding, feels secure and stable in corners, OK it's not a racing car, but it is very impressive on country roads.
It has power steering which makes parking easy, but it's not so light that you can't tell what the wheels are doing when you corner.
It has central locking, which is handy, and wind up windows, which obviously wont go wrong like electric windows tend to.
Cheapish road tax at £140 a year.
MOT runs out on May 27th 2017.
There is no structural corrosion and the engine is very nice, so apart from normal maintenance items I can't see why it wont go on for a good few years.
There is no stereo. When I bought it there wasn't a stereo fitted. It doesn't bother me so I have not fitted one.
There is a little dent in the front wing just where the Classic badge is, this has been touched up so there isn't rust as well, just a dent and paint damage. There is a picture of this so you can see for yourself. The very edge of the rear wheel arches and one front wing top have a few blisters which again have been touched up to stop them getting worse. It is a 16 year old car so this is to be expected. I've seen cars a lot worse than this being described as perfect. I'm not pretending it's perfect, but it is pretty good. Importantly, underneath the car is remarkably good. I have waxoyled it before each winter.
Inside is tidy, no rips in the seats or anything like that. All the buttons work.
During my ownership I have treated it just like a classic. Never thrashed it, only run it on top quality oil and checked everything each week. Not that it really needs this. Doesn't burn oil, or leak oil, or use fluid, even the tyres donít drop pressure. I always keep records of fuel and it has returned an average of 39.5 mpg during my ownership, this is pretty good considering I do a lot of shorter journeys. You could certainly get more on a run. Keep it long enough and I guess it will be a classic some day.
V5 in my name, loads of history and the original instruction book and all present.
I'm sure there is stuff I've forgotten, but I have tried to be completely honest about the car. If you want to came and take a look please contact me.
Really important note. All the pictures were taken just after I had washed, cleaned t-cutted, waxoyled and polished it. The pictures make it look better than it is. It has now faded to a lovely shade of pink and it really needs another good going over with the t-cut and polish.
This is a private sale of my privately owned car and is not covered by any warranty.
I have priced it realistically, because I want to sell. so don't come along expecting me to half the price because it needs a wash.
