Land Rover Series 2a IIa 109 SOLD (1971)
|This is for all you Long Wheel Base lovers!!|
Although many of these were produced when did you last see one on the road?
The LWB Land Rovers were generally worked very hard compared to the SWB ones and therefore are rather rare today.
This very late 2a AAF 409J was registered new in Cornwall on 8th July 1971.
Chassis number 25120656H.
MOTd until 8th June 2017
Only 5 owners the last for 14 years.
It has clearly led a pampered life as the whole vehicle is very straight.
The last owner had it for 14 years and looked after it very well with invoices for various works over the years.
The chassis has been welded many years ago to a good standard and then oiled regularly which means it is in good shape.
The Bulkhead is incredibly good with original footwells and only a small repair to the drivers pillar.
The petrol 2.25 engine starts well and goes well.
Gearbox is good and works well.
It was painted approx 14 years ago and has faded and worn with age but looks good to me!
The canvas is faded but still looks good.
This Land Rover can be used immediately and will be extremely useful for logging or just general duties out and about.
