Ford Mustang GT X Code Fastback Coupe SOLD (1968) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | This Fastback is a real headturner - due to it's styling and because it is rare - The X in the chassis number means it is an "X Code" car. Specially built by Ford to test and evaluate the feasibility of the 390 two barrel cougar engine in the Mustang - the result being that not many were produced. This car is one of four known and it is the only one of it's type due to it's build configuration. Recently fully restored to show condition - body work is A1 - No rust at all and no "wet miles" - the car is in excellent condition. Totally original - Candy Apple Red, engine rebuilt and very powerful, interior very nice with rare headrests. Backed up with a Marti Report (Certificate of originality specially for Ford Mustangs - detailing when car was built, to what specification etc etc).
