1972 Porsche 914 1.7 - Ready to be enjoyed For SaleNEW REDUCED PRICE FOR QUICK SALE
First registered in March 1972 by Porsche Canada. 1.7 engine running on twin dellorto carburettors which benefit from a recent tune-up. UK registered complete with V5. MOT through to 22/3/18. Certificate of authenticity and plenty of receipts for work carried out in Canada before it was imported to the UK in March 2016. Previous owner stripped the body back to bare metal and resprayed in Tangerine orange. The paint looks stunning, this car really stands out and the body is solid, clean and straight. Original "bat wing" steering wheel Targa top in great shape with all latches working well. Recently fitted Euro/UK spec lights to front and rear. ATS wheels in very good condition with good tyres all round. The engine is strong, starts easily and pulls very well. Gearbox is 5 speed, works efficiently and is very satisfying once you are used to it. Over £2,800 spent recently bringing the car up to standard. Recently serviced week by a garage who specialise in 914s with an oil and filter change. The car is fun to drive and benefits from new Bilstein rear suspension making it handle superbly as would be expected for a light, mid engined Porsche.
With Porsche values on the increase and in particular 914 values rising, this car makes a great, fun investment. It also benefits from being classified as an historic vehicle and is road tax exempt with low insurance (current annual premium of £104) Car is located near Ilkley, West Yorkshire which is about 15 miles north of Leeds. Any inspection welcome.
It's a great car and is priced to sell.
