Monster Truck Project commenced 2002 :- Using Toyota Hi Lux Pick Up - Rover 3.5 SDI high comp. petrol engine,
Mated by a stock conversion plate to a 5 speed TOYOTA Gearbox c/w High/Low ratio transfer box .
Themed as the 'Cool Ghoul Truck' & Air Brushed accordingly with some fantastic 'work of art' graveyard & other ghoulish scenes depicted in great detail!
The Custom themed 'Gothic' interior is bedecked in Skulls, Snakes & Other Creepy Crawlies!
DVLA V5C correctly shows:- Toyota Hilux 3500cc ----- Reg :- G6 OUL (GHOUL)
Mot'd - has been Mot'd every year - - for road use (all old Mot's in service file) --- Cheap Road Tax band (on age)
NB. If you are contemplating building one of these:- the hours & expense required to sort out body lift, engine cooling, gearing & suspension problems are inconceivable until you are in too far to quit ----- better to buy a 'sorted one' & be ready to roll !
All parts listed below have been either added 'new' or replaced with 'new' in the period from 2007 up to January 2012
Nb. to keep it interesting & to be totally reliable (no 'used parts' were ever fitted)

'Monster truck specific parts ' were supplied by LA Supertrux
4 x Brand New 39.5" Tyres fitted onto existing Chrome Competition Rims 15" x 15" (very rare now & very exensive to buy)
Nb. Chrome Rims were £4,000 + tyres @almost £2000 inc Vat for 4 off
Body Lifted 6" - resin pirate & skull decorative pillars giving an 'eerie' effect.
4 x Leaf Springs specifically designed for Monster Truck use :- Spring & Spring Shackles front & Rear - fitted new by us.
(A must as these springs not only raise the car but tilt the rear axle for propshaft/gearbox alignment purposes).
Duplex Front Shocks + Triplex Rears (single rears operation so as not to 'over stiffen' rear end) - fitted new by us.
Across Front Axle dampers fitted to limit 'on road' steering twitch (big tyres create this serious issue) - fitted new by us
Revised webbed steering linkages with a rose jointed coupling (standard steering linkages are too scary with 'big wheels' ) - fitted new by us.
Stainless Steel Brake Flexys & all new polished copper piping - fitted new by us.
4 Barrel Weber Carb On New Eddlebrook Manifold c/w Sports 'Pancake' Air Intake (much smoother running) - fitted new by us.
Latest competition Fuel pump - fitted new by us.
Mallory Unilite Fully Electronic Competition Distributor & Race Coil -(£ 550 worth - for accurate ignition under load) - fitted new by us.
Heavy Duty Daihastu Clutch fitted - fitted new by us..
Voltmeter, Water temp & Oil pressure gauges all fitted into dash & centre console - fitted new by us. .
Truck Heavy Duty Side Rails & platforms.
All Spot/Fog Lights Replaced & all now thro' independent Relays on one panel - fitted new by us.
Two x Heavy Duty Battery System (100A/Hr EACH), Digital Voltmeter & a new 90AH now alternator - fitted new by us.
Lexus Style Rear lights - fitted new by us.
Front headlights (Green tint) - fitted new by us.Roof Floodlights.Rear Roof lights for reversing.
Air Train Horns on Roof c/w 150 ft/lb Air tank under truck Switchable Reversing Siren.

Corbeau Carrera Recliner Seats with unique customised detail c/w Black' Inertia seat Belts - fitted new by us.
New X4 Extreme Alloy 'look' illuminated steering wheel- fitted new by us.
New Quality carpet (in Black) throughout - fitted new by us.
Low/High Ratio Quickshift fitted - fitted new by us.
5 Speed Gearchange & Transfer box Quickshifts x 2 ( race type shortened stick movement - a must when body is raised) - fitted new by us.
New Rear Diff Ring & Pinion - with all bearings renewed to give a 5-29:1 Ratio - fitted new by us.
Nb. revised gearing gives 3 mph at idle rpm for parade speeds & a comfortable 60 mph + on road
Front wheel drive disconnected, but propshaft available (would require front diff ratio revamp)
Automatic Kenlowe Electric Cooling Fan System onto new Diesel Hilux Radiater with custom grill - works really well! - fitted new by us.
Fitted with 'Race car' style push button start - fitted new by us.
Passenger /Driver American PA System with All USA emergency Tones & Loudhailer mic - fitted new by us.
Multi Strobes & Rotating Beacons all round - fitted new by us.
Decor Lights all around the truck.
Neons on Rear - fitted new by us.
Cobra Style (Thrush) Exhaust Side Pipes - flexy downpipes replaced by us 2010.
Inbuilt slow charger with mains input lead/plug (keeps batteries fully charged when truck not in use) - fitted new by us.
In Truck bed Rear - Bench (or mortician's slab) with 'Mr Thrifty' (skeleton complete with red strobe heart)- fitted new by us.
MEGA SOUND SYSTEM '250V /12v (12 volt limits endurance if no generator carried) : CD/Radio slaved to TOA amplifier coupled to High Power Swimming Pool type Horns (4 Off ) - 100v line TOA P.A. System for clear Music & Vocal Commentary - fitted new by us.
The original Speedo Panel has been stripped & a graveyard scene depicted on the faceplace, then the unit was rebuilt!
Rear Roll Bar & Front Bull Bars.
New Heavt Duty Lucas Starter Motor - fitted new by us March 2011.
Towball fitted on Coffin Shaped Plate with Chrome Skull (eyes & mouth light up) - fitted new by us but never used.

The vehicle is also wired for 250v mains voltage for Bubble machine & the Fog machine + it can also supply the 100v line PA (when not battery driven) ,- it can be plugged into the mains for static displays or into a generator placed into the back of the truck for mobile work.
It starts easily, drives well for a 'Monster Truck' and is ready to roll---
