Morris Minor 1000 Traveller ~ One Owner from New ~ For Sale (1966)
|This Morris Minor 1000 Traveller is extremely unusual for two reasons. |
A. It is only one owner from new since being registered in October 1966 until last month, over 50 years in the ownership of one now elderly gentleman.
B. When fully restored some years ago it was subject to various upgrades, some of which we have not seen before. All the wood was replaced and instead of two rear doors the gentleman had one large single rear door custom made and fitted it along with a rear wash/wipe system.
He upgraded the interior with modern seats both front and rear, fitted a sports steering wheel, front and rear seat belts and rear load cover.
Mechanically, he fitted a Nikki carburettor and four branch manifold, telescopic shock absorbers, an under bonnet mounted brake fluid reservoir and electronic ignition. He also put a bigger fan in the heater motor to make demisting easier.
He added Rostyle Wheels with chrome embellishers, a roof rack, front badge bar with badges and spot lights, headlight peaks and mud flaps.
The history file contains the current V5, a previous old style V5, the current MOT, some photographs of the restoration exhibited in a large frame, a number of previous MOT certificates and some invoices for work completed over the last few years.
It has an MOT which runs until April 2018 and it will be licensed for 12 months at no cost from the date of sale as it qualifies for the Historic Taxation class.
