1936 AUSTIN SEVEN RUBY SOLD
|1936 Austin 7 Ruby ARQ|
I have owned this vehicle since 1995 and it has always been kept in a carpeted garage.
The engine number M243586 and chassis number 242471 are correct as in the current V5C and also in the original buff log book dated 1-4-1936 which I have.
I have all the MOTís and all the tax discs from 1994 as well as numerous bills for parts and repairs.
The engine has had a recent overhaul including new piston rings, new clutch and both the starter and dynamo have been reconditioned also a new battery.
The bodywork is in very good condition and polishes up very well see my reflection in the door, the sliding sun roof works well as do the semaphore indicators. The car starts on the button and drives well on the road, the brakes work as Austin 7 brakes work and so a little bit of anticipation is needed.
The current mileage is 86469 and on checking the old MOTís in 1993 it was 81646 which means I have averaged about 200 miles a year.
The interior of the car is not as good as the exterior, the headlining is in very good condition as is the sun roof but the upholstery of which I think the majority is original is tired as are the carpets (see the photos)
The vehicle registration CHU 113 is the original registration number in the buff log book also in the V5C in which it states it is non-transferable I have no idea why this is.
This car does not require a MOT, the road tax is zero so the car is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
I have decided to sell this loved little car due to my senior years, the amount of annual usage and garage space required.
The car is located 5 miles north of Norwich Norfolk
