This car was bought as a temporary run-around when my van was written off in 2003. I was only going to keep it for a couple months and decided I liked the fact that this was cheap motoring and a solid low price car I ended up using it for a further four years. It has been garaged for two years since I received my company car. In the time I was driving it has received regular servicing. The mechanic who undertook the servicing and repairs served as an apprentice at Bowers Peugeot of Harpenden, cut his teeth on the 309. He informs me that these 309s use the bullet proof OHV Talbot Horizon engine and will go on for 150.000 miles plus & still going strong. Please remember that this car is now nearly twenty one years old & lacks the refinements of todays cars.(no power steering)The main problem with this car is that it has not been driven frequently enough as its been siting in my garage for nearly three years and would greatly benefit from being used on daily basis.

It is now twenty years old and the numbers of these cars are becoming less common and are dwindling. Only two other advertised online (Autotrader) to my knowledge. MOT to August 2010. Very original condition. I have some very fond memories of this old car and would like someone to take it and keep it running for many more years. A very reliable and solid Car.
