this car was fully restored about 12-15years ago.
it was than never used hardly. It has a automatic (short shifter) on the floor. Power brakes, and power steering. It is mercedes red with a light tan interior (palomino?)
everything has been rebuilt or replaced.
eng. Rebuilt
trans- rebuilt
brakes- rebuilt
stainless steal exhaust new
fuel injection pump rebuilt
suspension rebuilt
new bilstein shocks
new michelin tires, car also comes with 4 aluim. Rim with tires.
hardtop in excellent shape with wonderful wood and trim.
recently i re-did the dash wood and covering.
it has german driving lights
the body was done over years ago and there are no sigh's of rust or bubbles.
the convertible top is black and fits fine.
i have been restoring and buying cars for 35 years and i believe a close look at the eng. Compartment and the undercarriage will give you the best indication of the car's condition and restoration.(look at the photo's closely)
these are the things that i know that are wrong with it.
1. the clock dose not work. I never cared to fix it.
2. the left front bumper has some of the chrome missing???? small three inch section.
3. the radio is not wired up (don't know if it works. I never cared.
note: This car is in vermont and has "no" title. Vermont did not become a title state until 1972. proof of ownership is the vt. Registration and bill of sale. It dose have a title form virginia.(it's previous owner.)
