1958 (904) Jaguar XK150 3.4 DHC For Sale
The Jaguar XK150 was undoubtedly one of the best sports cars of the fifties. The car was a little bit bigger than its predecessors, the XK120 and the XK140, offered more interior space and a better and more comfortable ride. The large 3. 4-liter six-cylinder in-line engine offered a lot of power, even in today's traffic an XK150 is a smooth car. It must have been a sensation in the fifties.
This car is unique in terms of condition. A Jaguar XK 150 in such a conserved state is very rare and we were immediately charmed by this incredible car. An unrestored Jaguar XK150 drop head coupe, fully matching numbers (engine, body, gearbox, ex and interior color), factory-equipped with overdrive.
The body and chassis are in magnificent condition, the old and largely original paintwork is now in a nice patina, the car still has its gorgeous first leather interior and first dashboard upholstery. The XK 150 is absolutely rust-free in engine bay and trunk space and in the A and B styles. The inside of the doors is still in the factory paint. The Jaguar is exactly as it was when it left the factory almost sixty years ago, but now with some incredibly beautiful patina………
Recently, more than € 12, 500 has been invested. For example, the engine and the brakes have been serviced. To improve road holding, new "Competition" spoke wheels (72 spokes) are mounted with Avon Turbosteel tires. Of course, the original wheels come with the car.
In the past year, the XK 150 dhc has been used for several rallies and longer trips like Goodwood Revival.
The history is partly documented and the original instruction book is present as well as recent invoices relating to the extensive mechanical maintenance.
On the road, this XK is sensational, the sports car is fast and easy to drive, but the most extraordinary is its unbeatable straight-out-of-the-barn look.
The most beautiful thing is that the XK still feels, smells and drives like an original car, something that can never be achieved with a restored classic car. This XK150 has to be seen and driven to fully understand its opportunity.
This car is for the real classic car enthusiast and we hope that the XK will remain in this unrestored and patinated state. If you love original classic Jaguars, like us, then it will be difficult to find a better one than ours.
Original cars are incredibly scarce and it is important that these rare machines are retained. Are you ready to become the new owner as well as the heritage custodian of this XK150?
