We are selling our stunning and much loved VW Beetle 1300 which has a rare factory fitted sunroof.
This car has had loads of work done on her, including resprays, a new 1641cc engine (only done 13.5k miles) and new interior as well as the usual services and general upkeep. She has been in storage since October 2004 when my wife could no longer fit behind the steering wheel to drive her being 8mths pregnant! She has been stored in a warm, dry garage.
We recently fitted a new battery, put a new tank of petrol in her and she started up first time! She was a reliable daily runner up until the day she went into storage.
At the last MOT over £300 of work was done including an overhaul of the brakes.
Major work includes:
- Respray prior to storage in June 2003 done by Beetlelink. Receipts available
- Replacement engine fitted in July 2000, mileage at that point was 52850. Engine upgraded from the standard 1285cc to 1641cc, receipts available
- She has a thatcham catagory 2 immobiliser fitted. Receipt available
- This car has a Bernard Newbury Interior which was done in 2000. Unfortunately this is one of the very few reciepts that we dont have!
- Rear static seat belts fitted in 2000
- This car has had a heated front windscreen fitted, it would just need to be wired in.
Other work/info:
- When resprayed she had 4 new wings, new running boards, new front and rear bumpers, new headlights and smoked rear lenses fitted.
- We have numerous receipts and paperwork for this car including services and MOT certificates.
- It has a new battery fitted.
There is a face off Kenwood stereo radio cassette player fitted. However, it will require wiring in. Due to the fact that the stereo has not been wired in we are unsure whether the speakers work, so they may need to be replaced.
This car is in very good, solid condition with only very minor bubbling of the paint in a couple of very small areas.
