BMW 3,0 Si 5-Speed For Sale (1974) edit C95508 | | | The E3 model range was the predecessor of the first 7-series BMW and was a much sportier car than its successor. The early 3,0 Si with the D-Jetronic injection is especially sought after for its very direct throttle-reaction. This car was restored in 2000 by its former owner for a fee of more than 13000 Euros with e.g. new boot lid, bonnet and a professional respray in the original color polaris silver metallic. The car is quite original, the only change is the very sensible fitting of a 5-speed Getrag gearbox of a later BMW model from the ´70 or early ´80. The 5th gear has a longer gear (like an overdrive). This makes the car much more enjoyable to drive, saves fuel as it lets you cruise on the autobahn or motorway at lower engine revs.
