Ford Capri Laser 1.6 1986 2 previous owners For Sale
History of car:
First owner had car for 19 years then gave up driving.
Second owner had car 2 years but only used it in the Summer (SORN documents to prove) and had it MOT'd where he worked at the Skoda dealers in Norwich (Robinsons).
I purchased the car 21 months ago and in the last 12 months it has covered 800 miles - I keep it garaged and I am a member of the Norwich Classic Vehicle Club. On the last Bank Holiday the car took part in a club run and covered 60 miles and did not miss a beat. I have spent alot of time since I have had the car getting the best from the original paintwork and compared to when I bought it the car really does now shine !!!
Documents - I have the V5, original Ford Capri Owners Manual, a nice Ford Dealership file from 1986 !, the original service book with some early stamps. When the original owner sold the car the full history did not come with it but I do have the last 4 MOT's and I have had the car serviced at Nationwide Autocentre in Norwich for the last two (not cheap !!) - The MOT currently runs until 2nd May 2010 and the car went straight through the recent MOT. The car is Taxed until 31/10/09.
GOOD POINTS:
Dash uncut with original radio in place and working (cassette does not though)
Heater and fan work as they should
Professional manual choke conversion with warning light and the car starts really well
Top struts and inner wings very good and no welding anywhere
Seats and carpets very good (except driving seat bolster -see photo)
Original parcel shelf fitted with two extra speakers added
Engine bay very clean
Sills very clean
BAD POINTS
Both front wings near join to doors have had repairs applied - could do with a slightly better finish
Cigarette lighter not connected to live
Sunroof on slider a bit stiff (tilt works fine though)
One small crack on top of dash but not visible when sitting in car
Hatch needs a good slam to lock but it does lock ok
THIS CAR GETS LOTS OF LOOKS AND COMMENTS WHEN I AM OUT AND ABOUT AND FINDING A GOOD LASER NOW IS GETTING HARD. TO SUM UP A VERY GOOD CAR FOR 23 YEARS OLD AND READY TO BE ENJOYED.
