2-8 Ford Granada X 5 Speed Manual SOLD (1984) C97283 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | Granada Ghia X 1984 5 speed, Manual, Taxed & Mot end Nov 09. Family owned for 17 years, owned by father since Sept 1992 (15 years) until Sept 2007. The car was taken of the road & dry stored in July 2000, I took ownership in Sept 2007, & spent the first year lovingly restoring to its former glory. The car has had a lower mileage second hand replacement engine with excellent emissions fitted & a new re conditioned 5 Speed Manual Gearbox, new brake pads, discs & brake cylinders, & a new exhaust system. The body work was in very good condition, except for front passenger door & rear passenger wheel arch, which have now been replaced, the car was then striped down removing all chrome strips, lights & front & rear screens to enable the car to have a full body re– spray. The overall cost of this restoration was in excess of £2700 and many long hours spent. The cloth interior is in excellent condition for its years, and also boosts the original stereo system, excellent tyres & alloys all round, including spare. There is a Tow bar fitted but this has not used in our family ownership. Mot’s & service history dating back to 1992. Since its restoration & due to bad summers the car only covered less than 600 miles in the last 2 years. Reluctant sell, due to little use & space required for new restoration project.
