Durham Classic Motorcycle Club

Durham Classic Motorcycle Club was formed in April 1998 by a small group of dedicated motorcycle enthusiasts in the Witton Gilbert area of County Durham.

DCMC aims to promote the use and appreciation of classic motorcycles over 25 years of age.

The club meet once per month at The Glendenning Arms, Witton Gilbert, Co. Durham, on the first Sunday, from 7:30pm.

Membership is open to anyone who owns, runs or is interested in classic motorcycles. Regular planned runs are organised every month on a Sunday during the spring and summer months, some following the 'scatter event' format utilising route sheets, others just 'follow the leader'. Occasional evening runs also take place, usually Wednesday. The runs usually have a 'theme' and trophies are awarded on some runs for best bike.

Full Membership of the club only costs £10-00 per year (payable in full or two x six monthly payments of £5) with a once only joining fee of £3-00. Family membership is also available at £5-00 per person. OAPs, Students & Unemployed people pay a reduced rate of £7.

The club is affiliated to the British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF). We also link with other local motorcycle clubs such as The Vintage Motorcycle Club (Northumbrian & South Durham sections), North Durham Motorcycle Club and Lanchester Centurions.
