Stratford Festival of Motoring

Stratford Town Centre
Sun, 03-May-2015 to Mon, 04-May-2015
Stratford Town Centre , Warwickshire

Entries for the 2015 Stratford Festival of Motoring on Sunday 3 and Monday 4 May are now open. Following feedback from participants in last year's Festival, where some people could only attend one day, we are offering the options of entering for either Sunday or Monday only at £18, or both days at £30.

Entries can be made online at the Stratford Festival of Motoring website

The Festival of Motoring is organised by Stratforward, the town's Business Improvement District (BID) company, who operate a BID discount card scheme in Stratford upon Avon.

All participants of the Stratford Festival of Motoring will be provided with a BID discount card which will be valid for a two week period that encompasses the weekend of the Festival. The card will entitle the holders to a variety of discounts in the town centre that cover retail, leisure, health and beauty and business services and all discounts are available to view on the Stratforward website under the heading of BID card. Retailers and attractions who offer discounts to card holders display a window sticker for the BID card.

Our application for road closures is still going through the process but we have every confidence that this will be granted as the 2014 road closures were considered to be a success. Assuming everything is granted we should have enough space in town to park up 300 participants, a slight increase on 2014, meaning we shouldn't have to turn people away as was the case last year.

The increase to 300 entrants does mean that we will need the first cars to start from the Leisure Centre at 08:00 so that everyone can leave in good time without causing traffic chaos around the area.

More information will follow over the coming months but to secure your participation please register now.

One of the unique aspects of the Stratford Festival of Motoring is that it takes place in the town centre and not just in a field or in the grounds of a country house.

For 2014 we were granted a number of street closures so we had more cars, and more displays, in more streets around the town. Almost wherever you turned in the town centre there was something on display.

The main displays were:

Rother Market: the Land Rover Exprience Terrapod and the Rebel Replicas
Town Square: a family area
RSC : supercars on display
Honda
Everthing from rally cars to dragsters were on display in town
Cars and motorcycles from the two Festival runs will returned to the town from late morning and parked up on the closed streets
