Hello Petrol Heads - I run our outings Club at Lytchett Matravers, near Poole, Wareham and Bere Regis in Dorset. On Sat 6 Jun once again visiting two different (very different!) places. Firstly we’ll be enjoying the morning at the very lovely National Trust’s intimate medieval Lytes Cary Manor house in Somerset. The manor’s fascinating features include the 14thC chapel and the 15thC Great Hall and its Arts & Crafts style garden is an inspiring combination of outdoor rooms, topiary, statues and herbaceous borders.

We’ll then travel the short distance to Haynes International Motor Museum. The UK’s largest exhibition of the greatest cars from around the world with over 400 amazing cars and bikes, from nostalgic classics of the 50’s and 60’s, glorious Bentleys and Rolls Royces to exciting super cars like the Jaguar XJ220 and Ferrari 360. With 12 huge halls to discover you’ll really enjoy your visit. We’ll be able to browse the extensive Museum Motoring Shop its leading range of souvenirs, models, DVDs, books, official F1 team clothing and manufacturer’s merchandise from Ferrari to MG. We can choose to enjoy a delicious home-made snack in Café 750, or treat ourselves to a cream tea. There are no restrictions for photography in the Museum, as long as it’s for personal use only. So come on petrol-heads and manor lovers! You're duly invited.

We’ll depart Lytchett Matravers on Saturday 6 June at 09.00 to arrive at Lytes Cary Manor c.10.15. We’ll transfer to Haynes Motor Museum at 13.00 and leave there at 16.30 to be home by 17.45. Both properties have a tea room and a shop to enjoy.
