The event will start and finish in Bologna (Italy) and will last 5 days plus 1 night. The dates will be from 30th March until 4th April 2016.
All cars manufactured before year 1986 are invited but applications from customers owning younger cars will be considered.
It will be divided in 2 sections. The first one will be a Tour through the nicest landscapes of Romagna and Tuscany, the second will be included in the 7th Trofeo della Secchia Rapita, a Rally Regularity Race that commemorates the rivalry of two neighbouring sixteenth century Italian provinces: Bolognese and Modenese.
The first day will be dedicated to the welcome procedures in the morning in Bologna and after lunch the cars will go to Ravenna.
During day 2 Ravenna will be visited, this city preserves the richest heritage of mosaics dating from the 5th and 6th centuries AD included by UNESCO on the World Heritage List. In the afternoon drivers will move from Ravenna to the Franciscan Sanctuary of La Verna, following the roads of the Casentino National Park.
The Franciscan Sanctuary of La Verna, visited during day 3 in the morning, is situated in the Tuscan Apennines. The mountain, which is covered with a monumental fir and beech trees forest, is characterized by an unmistakable appearance thanks to its summit (1283 sea level). Wrapped around by a surrounding wood we can find the hole unit of the Sanctuary, which cherishes several art, culture and history treasures inside its massive and articulated structure. After lunch we'll approach the Futa Pass, one of the preferred roads from motorbikes and car drivers.
Day 4 and 5 will take place the 7th Trofeo della Secchia Rapita. This event will cover approximately 300 Kms in and around the town of Bologna, Modena, Ferrara. About 150 cars will take part. The event is split into seven classes for cars produced before 1996. Essentially a regularity event there will be a number of ‘tests’ throughout the route where accuracy of pace is more important than speed. Please visit: www.modenahistorica.it
On Saturday morning there will be the entry formalities. First car will depart at 10.00 AM for a route of about 200 kilometers through the hills of the Apennines and Bolognese villages, local farmers producing typical products and winery. There is a lunch stop on route and afternoon break buffet.
On Sunday the event will restart at 8.30 for a route of approximately 110 km, visiting Lamborghini and Ducati Museums. We'll arrive in Ferrara for lunch and in the afternoon there will be the final challenge in the oval circuit of the famous square Piazza Ariostea. At 16.30 there will be the awards presentation.
In the late afternoon we'll move to Bologna where we'll have dinner. The night between Sunday and Monday is included, giving the possibility to teams coming from foreign countries to leave on Monday morning by airplane or driving their own car.
The entry fee includes: all lunches, all dinners, 4* hotel, museums entrance, transfer from/to the airport for participants coming by airplane, race documentation.
There will be the possibility to rent a classic car or we can take care about the transport of your car from home to Bologna.
