Market Square Group are delighted to be bringing the inaugural Classic Weekend to the beautiful setting of Ferry Meadows.
The three-day family festival promises good food, stalls selling a range of quality products including crafts, clothing, jewellery and accessories, with lots of vintage items, a live music stage, children's rides, classic vehicles, summer bar and beer festival, with all this making for a fun way to celebrate summer in a relaxed atmosphere!
Good food and drink and quality vintage products all have the opportunity to do well at Ferry Meadows, so if you have something that you want to test on an open minded and crowd then this is a forum for you.

Classic weekends are for those of us who can remember the e-type jaguar and equally for those who can’t, because we can all appreciate the enduring beauty of its design as we focus on recent heritage that has shaped the world we live in. Into the arena, we bring the 20th Century with treasures that are as timeless as they are grand.
Our Classic weekends have got the lot from icons of style, to the food and drink that have ‘seen us through’, music that forms the bedrock of our heritage together with the fun and games that our grandparents played.
There’s a feast of entertainment for aficionados and families alike, it’s safe as houses before prefabrication and best of all we can still reach out and touch this part of our history!
So, whether you know your e-type from your Bakerlite or if you like some swing in your jazz or roll in your rock, the classic weekend offers more than just a nostalgic look back at the 20th Century.
A fun time for all the family with a vast array of entertainment. There’s a live stage to put you in the mood with music from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. There’s a traditional fairground of fun with rides and slides, plus Story-telling and craft demonstrations - a whole range of activities to keep both the young and old out of trouble!
The Famous Last Stand Co. will be there with craft beer and cider – the perfect tonic for stresses of the 21st Century and a cure for all that ales you!

Classic vehicles and modes of transport that have got us from A to B and are testimony to our proud motoring past!
Why not make a weekend of it and stay over at our classic weekend camp site at Willen Lakes or the nearby campsite at Ferry Meadows. You never know, the family just might put down the mobile phones, laptops and tablets and start talking to each other again!

Interesting Facts About The Venue
Ferry Meadows is located on the outskirts of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, just three miles from the city centre, in Nene Park, the county park of Peterborough. Nene Park was opened in 1978 and stretches for 6 miles along the River Nene; it has three lakes, used for watersports, boating and mooring as well as trails and hard paths set amongst its beautiful meadows and woodland. An area of natural beauty Ferry Meadows has something to offer everyone, from exploring, cycling and walking to boat rides, natural trails, fishing and more. Ferry Meadows has two cafes, children's paly areas, a miniature steam railway as well as a camping.
