The ‘modern’ Fiat 500 has been hugely popular and has sold in considerable numbers. Based on the 500 Sport, the Ferrari Dealer Edition Fiat 500 represents the perfect marriage of two ‘made in Italy’ brands and also represents a unique piece of Fiat/Ferrari history.
Chosen and endorsed by Maranello House, Just 200 of these cute Fiat’s were made for the Ferrari dealership network. They were presented as great little ‘partner’ courtesy cars when your ‘big’ Ferrari was having it’s annual service.
This Limited edition certainly embodies the exclusive sporty theme of the ‘prancing horse’ with a lively 1.4 16v 100bhp engine and a raspy exhaust note. The theme continues with subtle sporty details such as red brake callipers, and inside, aluminium pedals and Sabelt bucket seats.
The History
This limited edition Fiat 500 was first registered on the 29th July 2008 and is number 117 of 200 and indeed one of only 60 right-hand-drive models made for the U.K. market.
The early service stamps indicate that this 500 began life in the Bristol area and then moved to Scotland where servicing was carried out by the authorised Fiat dealers, Arnold Clark, in Edinburgh and subsequently, other specialist workshops.
The current owner was patient in his pursuit of this car and has only driven it around 2,000 miles since purchasing it in November 2020. He has made considerable efforts to maintain and improve it’s condition in keeping with it’s originality, but due to storage issues, has reluctantly decided to sell.
The Paperwork
The V5 is present with the car showing the unique registration of F500 FER (worth around £3,000) which is included in the sale. The current MOT, which was issued with no advisories, runs until June 2022 and the vehicle is taxed.
The car retains it’s original wallet, owners handbook, service booklet and sound system manual and comes with several recent receipts for maintenance and improvements.
The Interior
The interior is in excellent condition and is embellished with all the limited edition goodies that make this car so unique.
As you step in, you are presented with the ‘limited edition’ kick plates and the sumptuous Nero ‘Pelle Frau’ leather upholstery and colour coordinated dash which displays the limited edition ‘117/200, 500 for Ferrari dealers’ plate.
The list of eye-catching details continues and includes a leather steering wheel with red stitching (and command controls), sporty bucket seats, a detachable Magneti Marelli Satnav with Ferrari software, aluminium pedals and a ‘Sport’ mode button!.
Other standard creature comforts include auto climate control, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric glass sunroof and a CD/MP3 player. The rear is surprisingly spacious and features split folding rear seats. The boot space is immaculate and contains the original spare wheel and tool kit.
The current owner assures us that all the electrical switches operate as they should.
The Exterior
As you can see, this 500 looks glorious in the sun and in the shade from every angle. Finished in classic Ferrari Rosso Corsa red, the bodywork retains an excellent gloss and consistent colour over the whole car. There are a few very small stone chips, a mark on the driver’s door interior frame, and a small paint blemish on the roof, but nothing of concern.
The glass, mirrors, chrome, trim and plastic present very well too. The headlight plastic has some minor crazing (see photos), but should polish out.
The correct Ferrari badges appear on the front wings, and whilst one of these has some slight bubbling, the current owner will supply some replacements. The red brake calipers perfectly set off the refurbished 16” alloy wheels and limited edition Ferrari valve caps. Lastly, the underside looks very clean with the addition of some wax oil, particularly to the rear axle.
The Mechanics
The engine bay is extremely clean and looks almost new. The zippy 1.4ltr 16v 100bhp engine had a full service, with fresh oil and filter, as recently as May 2021.
The current owner has had the original alloy wheels refurbished and commissioned a new stainless steel mid-exhaust section retaining the Magneti Marelli stainless steel twin pipe rear box. Also, the front and rear coil springs have been replaced due to a small level of surface rust along with the rear sections of the brake pipes. This should all help to give some long-term reassurance.
The owner informs us that the engine and 6-speed gearbox are both smooth and responsive and “the Magneti Marelli exhaust gives a nod towards the sound of a Ferrari”.
The Appeal
The stylish Ferrari dealer edition Fiat 500 epitomises fun and exclusivity, and perhaps, would make the perfect partner for a Ferrari owner/collector or for someone who just wants the thrill of driving a Ferrari badged ‘pocket rocket’.
This highly collectable example is in exceptional condition and with so few around, it could take some time to find another one this good. Research into sale prices for the Fiat Ferrari certainly suggest that they are heading up - so grab one while you can.

About Max Bids
The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.
Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.
Anti-sniping
Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.
Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.
Auto-bidding increments
If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Automatically outbid immediately
When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.
You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.
Matching max bids
When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.
Pre-authorisation
We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.
What are pre-bids?
A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.
