2004 Rover 75 diesel Auto Tourer Connoisseur SE 130PS, Long MOT For Sale
Rover 75 diesel Auto Tourer Connoisseur SE
Nice condition, quiet, economical, comfortable auto estate with snow mode.
High mileage, but totally reliable, drives well and in daily use.
Lets get all the bad stuff out of the way. Some of this is a bit picky, but I'd rather just be honest with you.
The rear wash wipe does not work, someone told me it's a relay, and someone else suggested it might be a broken wire where the tail gate opens and closes. I have not looked.
The reversing sensors don't bleep, I have not looked at why this might be, as I have never had them on any other car so I don't miss them.
The electric adjustment for the side mirrors does not work, I open the window and set the mirrors to where I want them.
There are lots of nice things that do work.
Cream leather interior with electrically adjustment for the front seats. The front seats are heated which was great during the winter.
Auto dim rear mirror, seems a bit of a waste of time, until some idiot sits right behind you at night. It's great the mirror goes dark and you don't get dazzled.
After market Pioneer stereo with CD player, sounds good.
Cruise control all works and takes the ache out of longer trips.
Duel zone heating and cooling is great if you like to be warm but you passenger wants to be cool.
The rear tailgate opens either fully or just the window can be lifted for light shopping.
Both keys are with the car and both of the key fobs work for the central looking and alarm.
It's a very nice car to be in, comfortable and quiet.
Undamaged and clean cream leather interior.
Starts first turn of the key even when frosty and never smokes even when cold. Feels much younger than it is.
It's a great car in good condition, the engine is BMW 2 litre diesel with chain driven cam which go on and on. It's the 130 ps one not the 115 ps so it goes well. The auto box works well in all modes. It has a snow mode which worked really well in the snow we had this winter.
Don't let the mileage put you off, it's done 185000 miles but it comes with a lot of service stamps in the book and it feels and drives like a car with much lower mileage. The current MOT expires 4th April 2019 and it did pick up an advisory for slight corrosion on brake pipes, these have now been replaced. There are no rips in the seats, the carpet is clean. The steering wheel is a little dirty, but I fitted a cover to solve this. Pretty good for a car with a cream interior.
This is a private sale of my privately owned car. Yes I do run a business but this was bought with my own money and is not part of the business. The buyer will need to pay me, not the business.
This lovely Rover is in daily use and I will be a little sad to see it go, but I really do not need it now the van is fixed and working again.
I bought this in August 2017 as a stand in vehicle while my van was being repaired. I had brand new tow bar and electrics fitted just in case I had to tow my motorcycle trailer. As it happens I have not had to use the tow bar so this car has never done any towing, but it has a new tow bar should you wish to use it.
