- Version C, the most accomplished one
- Rare convertible version
- Great condition
The Porsche 356 C model has very little difference externally from the previous B version. Only new wheel rims give away a significant change: the introduction of disc brakes on all four wheels. Furthermore, the handling is improved thanks to several modifications on the running gear and the steering. Mechanically speaking, the 1,600cc produces 75 hp and the gearbox synchro-bushings are reinforced.
As stated by the certificate of authenticity that goes with it, this cabriolet was delivered new in the USA in a champagne yellow colour which the car still has to date, along with black leather interior. It had an optional towing hook (!), one antenna and 2 speakers. It was imported from Virginia to Italy where it is restored before being sold in Germany in 2011. If the engine is not the original one, it still is the 616/15 type compatible to this model. Only 832 examples were produced that year. Presented beautifully, this interesting version C convertible is the opportunity to drive in a multi-purpose car, one for driving while having the hair floating in the wind and one for experiencing the most remote regularity events.
