I've owned this car since 1989. In the mid 90's it was restored and detailed by myself and my father. A Daimler V8 and auto trans were fitted. Along with a new leather interior, new carpets, door cards restored, pearl white paint and metallic burgundy roof. Stainless side trim removed engine bay smoothed and detailed. Electric fuel pump located in the boot and electric fan fitted. Also has a fuel cut off switch and ignition switch relocated. As the pictures show the whole of the underside was restored to the same level. Polished stainless exhausts fitted. All new suspension bushes, shocks, brake pipes fuel lines The pictures showing the under carriage were taken the day of the MOT, 23/05/18. It's still in the same condition underneath as the day it was done, this is 23 years ago remember. Its rarely been used, did the odd show picking up a trophy at a custom car event. That takes it to 2003 when it was sorned up until 2016. We then fit the original engine and box and returned the car to the road. The engine had been rebuilt prior me owning it. I have a receipt for new rings and shells etc. However not long after driving the vehicle the big ends started knocking, which is why the decision to fit the V8 was taken. Another crank was sourced, re-ground and new shells fitted. A new rope seal was fitted but this is not sealing, which is one of its faults. The other is the rear lower quarters are rotted out and there is a paint issue down the centre seam of the bonnet where the paint appears to have tightened and pulled away at the corners of the seam.
Regardless of these issues the vehicle is in otherwise outstanding condition. I've spent a fair sum recently getting it back on the road with a lot of new items fitted. If your serious about this vehicle call me after 7pm or weekends on 07507963648 to discuss. As always viewing is reccommended.
