Ground up cafe racer Commando build.
Started out as a low mileage 1972 Combat engined Commando.
Has matching numbers. No modifications have been made to the frame.
Engine has been stripped and modified to enhance reliability.
Crankcases have been modified to the later 850 type breather.
Main bearings replaced with the "Superblend type"
New shells fitted(std)
Camshaft replaced with standard camshaft from Andover (p/n 061084)
Followers reground to correct profile.
Compression plate fitted to reduce compression and restore correct rocker geometry.
Rebored to + 0.020 with JCC pistons.
New valves and springs.
New cam and primary chains.
Gearbox rebuilt with new bearings.
Electronic ignition with modern twin spark coil.
Rolling chassis overhauled inc
Pair fork stanchions,seals bushes and damper valves.
Wheels rebuilt with new rims,spokes and tyres.
New brake pads and shoes.
New master cylinder and clutch lever.
New clocks ,headlight and switches.
Complete new bespoke wiring loom with soldered earths, high quality shrink wrap and japanese bullet connectors.
New alternator stator and combined rectifier /regulator.
Complete new exhaust system and bracketry.
New shock absorbers,chain and sprockets.
Tab2Classics tank and seat.
The bike has had a short shakedown run which showed slight fluctuation in the front brake.
The disc will be changed this week for a new cast iron disc.
The engine will require running in.
Selling as need the money for other projects.
Bike is tax and mot exempt.

The bike runs good and due to change of brakes it also stops when you brake. It is a claim to bikes with the original brakes, as well as change of alternator gives you power on the battery even if we now a day runs with the lights turned on.

Beautiful 1973 Norton 750 Commando in exceptional condition. I have owned it since October 1974. Belt drive primary, 3 phase alternator, electronic ignition, lots of chrome, 27,997 miles. 100 miles since rebuild by Britech New England in the early 2000’s and has not been ridden since. Stored inside .....
828 cc, 2 cylinder, 51 hp. First registered in 1975, since 1980 at the second owner (collector). Brake cylinder just redone. Very good and well maintained condition. Last Swiss MOT as veteran vehicle 10.2016.

1956 Norton Dominator 88 good condition engine overhaul app.4 years ago but as only been used for app. 350 miles it is taxed and ready to go does not need MOT it is exempt as the road tax is it needs to go to some one who will use,
