An original unrestored Mk1 Morris Cooper S Wood and Pickett conversion.
The car has undergone light recommissioning to enable it to have a current mot. The car is on the button and drives really well.
Heritage certificate states in started life as a red with black roof Mk1 Morris Cooper S. It was then bought by a wealthy American Rolls Royce and Bentley collector here in the UK circa 1970/71 along with an 850 Mini for his wife. He sent the car to Wood and Pickett for a complete conversion by them with every possible extra included at no expense spared.
Both cars were then shipped back to New York, The WP being hardly used and still has less that 10k on the clock. this can be substantiated by the huge US history file.
It was once owned by Bob Grossman an exotic car dealer who raced Cunningham Jaguars at Le Mans (1963).
The Wood and Pickett S has recently featured in the May issue of Cooper World the Mini Cooper Register Magazine. The article being written by Steve Burkinshaw the coach built Mini guru and was displayed at their nation day at Beaulieu.
It really is an outstanding rare original Wood and Pickett collectors car.
This car is valued as the 'only' known unrestored, 10k mile, Mk1 Morris Cooper S, with 12month MoT, that has had the full WP treatment.
This little Mini Cooper is finished in Tartan Red with Snowberry White roof.
It was owned buy the previous owner for 14 years and during that time it was subject to a complete nut and bolt restoration.....
Fully restored over a three year period on behalf of and by it's then owner, a retired aircraft engineer. On completion, the car was sold to a new owner in 2016. It comes complete with photographic.....
