Triumph’s TR Series began with the unveiling of a prototype (the TR1) at the 1952 London Motorshow. The TR2 was launched the following year, and so began an uninterrupted run of two-seater Sports Cars that ended in 1981 with the last of the TR8s.
The TR4 was introduced in 1961 as a replacement for the TR3A. Though based on the chassis and drivetrain of its much-loved predecessor, it cut a far more modern dash, thanks to an all new Michelotti-styled body.
Power was provided by Triumph’s proven OHV four-cylinder engine with capacity increased to 2138cc. Other mechanical updates included a wider track front and rear, rack and pinion steering and an all-synchromesh gearbox.
The short-lived, but now much sought after, TR5 was visually identical to the TR4, but notably more potent thanks to the 2498cc straight-six that sat in place of the TR4’s four-cylinder unit – a total of just 2,947 TR5s left the factory between October 1967 and November 1968.

This Triumph belongs to a friend of us who wants to buy another car from us and decided to sell his TR5.
The car is a very nice driving example in a nice color scheme.
The interior of the Triumph seems to be original which is very unique as interiors are mainly renewed over the years. The seats are in a nice condition without damages like scratches and cracks.
The wooden dashboard is also in a nice condition even as the carpets.
The car is fitted with a beautiful wooden steering wheel.
The Triumph is in a nice drivers condition. Not freshly restored but nice.
The paint shows here and there some small blemishes but in our opinion this is a car which needs to be driven.
The car sits on brand new wired wheels and tires.
The soft top is in an ok condition. No damages and closing properly.

This car was delivered new to Australia as a white with red trim right hand drive with heater, laminated windscreen, overdrive, black tonneau cover and Michelin XAS tyres.
The eleven month production run of the TR5 makes it rare - just under three thousand were built.
