This is a really good example of a 1972 MGB GT which benefits from the large webasto sunroof which gives you the feel of an open top MG. This example is both tax and MOT exempt. There have been 6 previous owners.
It is in good working order and drives really well. It is garaged and only driven occasionally. I have just recently spent £860 replacing the clutch release bearing, starter motor and a few other minor bits and pieces. In this process the engine and gearbox came out allowing for a thorough inspection all round. The engine is a Gold Seal engine.
The overdrive works every time.
I cannot give any qualified statement as to its condition but I can say that I have not had any major faults (except for the clutch which has now been replaced) over the past 2 years and it has been a joy to own and drive. It has been resprayed from its original colour (I'm not sure exactly when). There are some areas of minor rust on the bodywork and many other things which could be replaced to get a perfect showroom look.
It was purchased as a project for my son and I to tinker with, but it turned out that neither of us really had the time and he now needs a cheap car to take to university, despite his offer to take the MG!
