A 1984 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV6
This is a project as it is a car that I managed to salvage a couple of years back.
The car is complete and I have over the last year or more bought the missing parts and got rid of the parts that were not relevant to the model.
The car has been garaged for this period and is dry
Its a little special as it is the GTV6 as featured in Auto Italia Issue 31 in March 1999, and it has been worked on including receiving a blueprinted 3.0V6 and modified gearbox.
The car has also been fitted with the cream and black leather interior that was placed in the Chaparral which makes a potentially great car.
The car has not been started in my ownership. It now has a new tested fuel tank, ready to be fitted and all the parts that I have collected together to enable the project to go ahead.
The miles on the clock are 6K, but of course a replacement engine went in prior to 1999. I have an MOT Certificate dated 2002 showing 2.5K reading.
Having just carried out an Integrale project I would place the bodywork and painting costs at circa £7K to £8K in total. In terms of engine and service I would anticipate £2K in total.
The work is on the lower part, as is common on these cars.
I would like to carry out the project and I will if the car does not go to a new owner.
Not many papers I'm afraid, so I always viewed this as it will be the car you make it from this point onward. I have the V5 and the MOT certificate from 2002. The V5 still carried the 2.5 engine details also.
Values have shot up it seems recently so I think there is a lot in this one to make what you put in worthwhile.
