1974 Capri Stampede - Jeff Uren car. 22,000 miles RARE! For Sale
This is one interesting Capri
It generates interesting discussion wherever it goes or is seen.
The car is one of 8 Jeff Uren Stampede built and the only one produced on a Mk2 platform. The car has the original 1970 G code Boss 302 which has zero miles since a fully documented rebuild in 2017.
Engine had a sympathetic 4 hour run in on the dyno before performance runs showed 384bhp at 6250 rpm and a flat tourqe curve of 324lbft.
Car has been stored at Jeff Uren's workshop from 1978 to 2006 before moving to Mike Brown's Rally Services from 2006 to 2014. Mike Brown was Jeff Uren's manager at Race Proved.
The car was originally a Ford management car from new and was registered as Ford owned before being sold direct to Jeff Uren for conversion. The engine is thought to be the last G code engine sold by Ford in 1974, 4 years after the end of production. The car has covered 22000 miles from new and could be considered as a 1 user owner car. The car has been registered by me in a company name and has not been used in my ownership.
The car is in exceptional condition but was commissioned through Race Proved with a very 1970's custom paint scheme (this is what creates most of the discussion). The car looks far better when standing next to it than in the photographs.
Owner is not in a position to use the car and therefore is releasing it for sale.
Any genuine enquirers will receive a full history sheet and more pictures.
Again Dr Brooklands is pleased to assist in the transaction and sale of this very rare super car.
