1929 Chrysler 65 Holden Bodied - Project - RHD For Sale
A very capable 3.25 straight-six vehicle with old VSCC buff form and great presence.
Stand out with something a little different. A far better and more capable vehicle than some American alternatives with its large torquey engine, good speed, huge capacity for people, dogs and picnic hampers. Drives like a modern with the power for speed or climbing hills and hydraulic brakes to slow you.
The body tub’s wooden structure and metalwork is good and solid having been repaired by Micky Hudson. The chassis is excellent and the remaining metalwork is extremely good for the age of the car with some localised areas to be repaired.
The 3.25 straight-six engine is 'in boxes' ready for rebuild. The crank and rods white metalling was done by John Kirkby. Bensham Engineering have cleaned and re-bored the block for the new EGGE pistons and rings. The gearbox is good and ready to go.
Open to offers and part exchanges considered
Receipts for over £9,000 for engine and bodywork.
Owned by me for eight years and I have finally had to accept that I am not going to finish it.
To be clear, this is a rebuild project. The car is loosely assembled for the photos.
