1968 HUMBER SCEPTRE MK3 EARLY MANUAL o/d CAR.72k For Sale
First registered 1/8/1968 on the then new g reg this is quite an early Humber Sceptre version of the arrows Rootes range.
Please email your number for a chat and full description but here is the basics.I have loads more pictures.
Finally got time to get it out from hibernation, clean the dust off and get a battery on it.
She is all there except boot trim, sill trims are in the car.
Rolls freely and turns over on the key with oil pressure going straight up almost to 40/lb just turning over.
I suspect a recon or rebuilt engine some time in it,s 72,000 miles as block is painted blue and the alloy head looks like it was just fitted as it shines and not dulled or any surface corrosion.
Mostly in now very thin factory paint she certainly
has had no major accident damage and all the usual rust prone areas, scuttles, doors, strut tops, wing rails, slam panel, boot floor, jacking points, chassis rails,a posts, rear door shuts, front panel are all very good, rear arches solid except lower rear both sides.
Sills replaced shortly before being parked up i would say but not the best job.
Inside very nice and very dry, usual cracks in veneers but the base wood is very good.
The good far outweighs the bad and i think a straight forward project.
Here we have this very attractive mark 2 Humber Sceptre in its lovely colour combination blue and apple white.
