The Bitter CD was developed by Erich Bitter (racing driver, car importer and manufacturer) in close cooperation to Opel (GM) and the Stuttgart body manufacturer Baur. Opel provided the drive technology of the Opel Diplomat and was involved in the pre-development of the self-supporting body. The Bitter CD has been presented in September 1973 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The design of the Bitter CD (first draft Frua)commemorates to Italian supersportscars like Maserati Ghibli!
This rare Bitter CD is in a very beautiful, largely untouched condition with very well preserved original interior. The car has gone through a few hands only and has been exhibited in a museum for several years.
The Bitter CD combines exciting design with solid large-volume production of American drive Technology (5.4 liter GM V8-engine, 230 HP, automatic gearbox)!
