We purchased the camper from the VW Camper Co, in 2009 and they undertook the main restoration for us, replacing any rust damaged panels, any defective mechanical parts, and repainting the exterior its original colours. It was a originally a Devon camper built on a Type 2 Bay crossover. We had a new interior built with a full width extending double bed, cooker, sink and storage unit plus new flooring and curtains. It has scope to add a raising roof unit for extra sleeping space if needed.
Since then we have had a refurbished engine fitted by our local garage and last year the VW Camper CO fitted a Litesteer power steering conversion.
In terms of asking price we have spent in excess of £35k over the years but would sell based on offers in excess of £17500.00
It was annually serviced and MOT'D up to the year when a test is no longer
required. I have completed the DVLA declaration of roadworthyness
due by the end of July 2018. It is dry stored and has been throughout the winter.
