Originally restored by Mike Taylor of Lotusbits. I have owned the car for almost 10 years and not used it much in that time, never used when it is wet. I have progressively tidied up a number of elements including rebuild suspension and brakes, new front discs and skimmed rear brake drums. The chassis is solid and the car drives well.
All the electrics work with the exception of the clock. The interior is in good condition with reupholstered leather and door cards.
The car is registered as tax and mot exempt.
Major rebuild by Mike Taylor, including many expensive elements
Engine serviced, including new cam belt
overhauled brakes, new front discs, skimmed rear drums
5 speed transmission
electrics all working, inc electric windows
MOT free, Tax free, fully registered as such (exempt)
Not so positive:
The paint is good, but there are some imperfections
No stereo fitted
The heater blower works, but the heater control is a mystery to me!
The clock is not working
One of the fuel filler caps is locked closed, the tanks fills from both sides
The headlights stay down while the engine is running, but only hold down for 5 mins or so after the engine is switched off
