Fully original matching numbers factory convertible, with full history and receipts file. Restored in the mid 80s, chassis seems to be powder coated and the tub and bodywork are excellent. Mechanically also excellent, the engine is extremely quiet, smoke and leak free and the car drives very characterfully! There are some interesting history items in the file, such as letters from previous owners and photos (I think the car is called Delphine).
I bought the car earlier this year to save it, as the previous owner was keeping it outdoors in Aberdeen. Although solid, it was getting tatty around the wheel-arches, valences and interior. These have all been resolved, and the car is back in full health. I have also fully serviced the engine, with new ignition system.
I had intended to use the car, but at 6’5” tall, I am too tall to be comfortable behind the wheel.
Supplied with original owners handbook, service file, previous MOTs, Haynes manual and car cover.
Mileage is correct at 79,000 and it has had 7 previous owners. Now MOT and tax exempt. If you check the MOT history online, you’ll see it has passed first time since 2006, when it failed for a headlamp bulb!
As with any old car, there are not so good bits. The paint is good, but not concourse. The hood is good, but the seams have separated just behind the door glass (a trimmer can probably repair).
This is a genuine car in excellent condition with comprehensive history, ready for its next loving owner.
