This car was purchased new from Bo'Ness Austin dealer Geo Ainslie & son by a lady; One Miss Isabella M. Rowe. A lady not given to variety, she kept the car until 1963 covering during that time a scant 41,000 miles. Upon her passing the car went to her Nephew who used it until 1967 and simply dry stored it leaving it in the utterly original condition we find it in today with now 42,788 miles covered.
The car comes to us on its original green log book & we have not yet applied for a modern V5 & are almost loathe to do so. This is a time warp low mileage car which is untouched from new save for a new hood as the old one had simply got to the unuseable state. The car comes with its original side screens & original upholstery in super lightly patinated condition.
We have recommissioned the car & it is now running beautifully. The hood is a simple affair lowering after releasing two catches. The dickey folds open allowing for Tesco grocery bags to be carried in comfort, or passengers to be carried in mild discomfort. We have not a scrap of paperwork with the car other then the original green log book which we found in the car when collecting it from the garage of the estate sale of the deceased property owner.
The whole car has a delightful veneer of patination to it & could be described as "Oily Rag" condition, but really it is too good for attachment of so coarse a moniker. The seats coverings are completely intact & ready for the next 100 or so K.
The engine starts readily & runs with good oil pressure. The car has a whole has a low mileage feel to it & is simply a pleasure to meander down B roads in. The 4 speed gear box is light & easy to use equipped as it is with synchromesh. The windscreen folds open allowing a pleasant draught of air to keep one cool. The runs easily at 50mph running cool & exhibiting good oil pressure.

1923 Austin 12/4 two seat Tourer with dickey - Coachwork by Mulliner
Probably one of the most widely recognised of Vintage motor cars, due in no small part to the 'Gumdrop' stories for children by Val Biro, the Austin Twelve Four has survived in good numbers by virtue of its sound design and sturdy .....
A 1934 Austin 12 Berkeley (Heavy Twelve) It is a comfortable car running very well and used extensively. Recently added are two new tyres, starter reconditioned, dynamo rewound, cylinder head gasket. Age I fear stops me from active care of a lovely car.

All original handbooks and many bills being totally restored some 10 years ago, both bodily and mechanically. All new leather interior. Used regularly & totally .....
