The FIRST thing to say about this rare 75 is that it is NOT, and has never been, a rally or track car. A previous owner added the body-kit and sprayed the car (not brilliantly)in this livery for fun.
The SECOND thing to say is that cars nearly always look better in pictures than in real life. I have spent money and time over the last two years getting the car back where it should be - on the road, tested and running well - but this is NOT a restored car. The new owner will enjoy driving it as it is and (given the huge sums these cars go for now) they may at some time want to take it to the next level of condition with a re-spray and work on the interior.
Good things :-
Engine runs like a sewing machine.
Four brand new tyres.
Good bodywork (I have treated some small areas and have painted up the rear suspension etc.)
No rot down in the engine bay.
Distributor professionally refurbished.
Ignition/injection ECU module overhauled.
Two small areas of welding underneath professionally undertaken for MOT.
Oz wheels have been cleaned up and sprayed.
Owners manual, a workshop manual and two hardback books about the Alfa 75 and the V6 engine supplied with car and with other receipts etc.
New enamel badges front and rear.
Needs work at some point :-
Inside rear door handle missing and centre console ‘pad’.
Electric Sunroof needs a new seal but works and the underside needs covering.
Electrics in rear doors need attention.
Signs of a bit of surface rust around the heater air intake under the front scuttle.
No radio or aerial.
Cosmetic work to suit new owner.
This car is priced fairly for its condition and rarity. Anyone wanting to view it must come on the understanding that this is not mint condition and must be willing to pay the asking price (now reduced) for a good sound example of this stunning model (the last ‘real’ Alfa). With less than fifty licensed versions of the 3.0 V6 left in the UK and prices now reaching up to £14,000 internationally for restored versions this opportunity to buy won’t happen very often.
