A truly stunning example of this very rare and original left-hand drive Spider, history shows that it was manufactured on 28th August 1964 and then delivered to Newark Garage, U.S.A. It was purchased by its first owner and cherished until 1987, when it was placed in a dry storage facility and left untouched for 20 years. The original owner moved around America during his life and there is a complete set of original U.S.A title certificates from 1970, 1972 and 1987, detailing the life of this fabulous Spider.
This Giulia was then purchased many years later by a restoration specialist who set about a ground up restoration on the car. A photographic record of the rebuild and invoices are proof that this one very special Alfa Spider, along with an Alfa Romeo Automobilismo Storico letter of authenticity confirming this car's build date and matching numbers throughout..
The previous owner imported the Alfa and finished the restoration with Thames Motor Company, before being UK registered on 9th October 2012. It is also supplied with superb hood and a further letter of authenticity from the Alfa Romeo Owner's Club.
Since my ownership it has been maintained regardless of cost and has undergone a number of upgrades at specialists Thornley Kelham's. In order to make the car totally useable it has been fitted with a new carburettor, air cleaner, electronic ignition, coil, leads, plugs and a number of brake and steering components. All the original components have been kept and will be part and parcel of the sale, the original carburettor has also been rebuilt by The Carburettor Exchange should you wish to revert back to originality.
The last MOT undertaken in 2017 had no advisories.
Rarely do you find an original 64' Alfa Giulia Spider still with its original engine, matching numbers throughout, 2 sets of keys and with only 3 documented owners from new and a very low mileage.
Sadly due to relocation my pride and joy has to go.This is a lovely useable Alfa, ready to enjoy and undoubtedly a good investment and priced to sell or exchange Porsche 356 with cash either way.
This beautifully prepared, original RHD home market car was manufactured on the 17th January 1964 and sold on the 30th May 1964 to Alfa Romeo in London. This Alfa Romeo Guilia 1600 Spider (type 101.19).....
