I bought this bike in January 2017 from Saddleworth Classic Motorcycles. It was sold as a new and complete restoration by a former BSA trained mechanic. I have riden it about 250 miles since restoration, so the engine is still running in and has not been riden above 40mph. The bike starts and runs well and has been used frequently this summer for short rides. It seems oil tight appart from a few drips from the chain oiler.
Although I'm no expert it appears to be a good and original restoration. The only things that I can fault are (a) the speedo is a non-original type which reads 160mph, (b) the fuel tank lacks the chrome trim strips.
I bought the bike with 180 miles recorded, it now reads approx 420. I relaced the battery 6 months ago but already it is failing to hold its charge and so will need to be replaced.
The bike is taxed until January 2019 and has a MOT that expires March 2019.
I need to sell the bike quickly to make space in the garage.
There are some high resolution photo's of this bike on Flickr.
