1959 was probably one of the most revolutionary years for British motoring. It heralded the arrival of three fresh and exiting new models, the Mini, the Triumph Herald and the Ford Anglia 105E. The Mini and the Herald may have gone to sell the most cars and have the most bearing on the future car design and engineering but it was the Anglia that did more for the image of it's maker than any other car.
The very interesting car we offer here is the much sought after 1200 Super version. Interesting because the car has had just three owners from new and the last one being a dealer who was registered by the 2nd owner rather than notifying the DVLA that it was going to a dealer. All the owners are recorded in the history file. Amazingly the history file also contains a receipt from Harold Perry Ltd, Ford dealers of Harrow Weald, for just £597.44p. As well as having the car's original handbook, the file also contains some petrol coupons from the early 70s plus a printed Guarantee from Carseal Ltd, dated 27/4/66, following their anti rust Underbody Coating. What is even more remarkable is that the car has covered just 48,000 miles from new.
The car has just been through a 12 month restoration by Ken Clarke Motor Sport Ltd who's restoration experience goes back some 40 years. The restoration includied a number of new panels and paintwork.
Part exchange considered, funds either way.
