Offered here is a superb original and factory standard early Volkswagen Golf GTi MK3. It has covered just 84'000 miles from new and is in excellent condition throughout.
The car is presented in Indian Red pearl with a beautiful black leather interior. The bodywork is in superb order and it appears completely rust free. All panels are the originals and the panel fit/gaps are excellent. The paintwork has a lovely finish and with only the merest of age commensurate marks. When you consider the 27 year age of this GTi, its condition has to be admired.
The car is still fitted with its original factory fit 'Le Mans' alloy wheels that are in super condition, all shod with good tyres with plenty of tread.
The interior too is in excellent condition with almost no wear or marks. The leather seats are in fantastic condition and certainly the passenger seat and rear seats look as if they have only ever been used occasionally. The carpets, trim, over mats, switch gear, door cards etc are also excellent. Everything works as it should and is free from any damage/wear.
All the original features remain including E/windows, E/mirrors, E/Sunroof, MFA, although the stereo head unit has been changed for an Alpine unit with 'Aux' input. The original head unit is included if a new owner wanted to return it to original spec.
The boot area, again looks almost unused and complete with the original undamaged parcel shelf. The space saver spare wheel and factory toolkit remain.
On the road the car performs faultlessly. The car starts easily with no smoke, no uneven running and revs freely. Whilst being way behind a modern 'hot hatch' in terms of performance, the MK3 GTi is incredible fun to drive, very involved and very rewarding.
It is becoming increasingly rare to find a MK3 in this condition and with such mileage.
The car has an excellent service history and maintenance record. The original service book shows no fewer than 20 service stamps up to 70'000 miles beyond which, there are bills and receipts to document further servicing and maintenance. The car has just had a cambelt change with us and has a superb MOT history. All the original handbooks and wallet are with the car.
In conclusion, a superb and original early MK3 in a great colour, with low miles, great history and great specification.
Will be supplied with a long MOT, oil service and full detail valet.
