Ford Falcon Sprint (Paxton Supercharged) 1964 For Sale
|Genuine Sprint fast road/track car,The Paxon Supercharger was offered as a optional extra on new Shelby Mustangs in the 60's so is period correct and was recongnised by Ford at the time so is not considered a after market item, although this one was not factory fitted from new, all modifications were commissioned by accumplished track/hill climb driver John Atkins of AC Cobra fame (JA 5) an obscene amount of money and time has been spent to make this Falcon go, handle and stop as well as it does. fitted period Paxston Supercharger ,C.E.S POWER LTD built 289 V8, 5 bolt block , forged TRW pistons, boss rods, 312-350 main caps and steels straps, larger stailess steel valves, flowed 302 heads roller rockers, solid lifter cam, baffiled sump, holley 4 barrel double pumper carb, compartion fuel pump, dynamo replaced by altermator, 3" stainless steel twin exhaust, headers, detailed 3 page parts/labour print out on engine build, including dyno readout of 350bhp, engine covered approx 4,000 miles since build, 5 speed T5 box with heavy duty Quaife internals, new HLX 70-4710 clutch recently fitted, lowered suspension, giving the perfect stance, rose jointed links and panard rod, Detroit locker, Australian Falcon 1972/3 disc brakes and uprights, period bucket seats with Willams full harness belts, original radio rebuilt to F.M. Older repaint in the original Ragoon red in excellent condition although there is the odd age related stone chip. The largest detailed history folder i have ever seen including previous MOT's, invoices, magazine articles, correspondences, ECT, reads like "War and Peace" invoices for in excess of £19,000 spent mostly dated 1997 to present ,would be 3 times this amount in todays money, this is a genuine factory Sprint not a clone, now rare even in the USA. Has a added bonus of being mot and tax except. ideal for Goodwood Rivival classic car park ,hill climbs and sprints or taken to the next level and race it, hard to buy a good modified Cortina for this price and much rarer than just another Mustang. ,,i am not to good on the PC so would prefer no E- Mails please, may consider classic or interesting p/ex |
