With a heavy heart it’s time to move on, we have owned this van from 05, during this time she has been professionally serviced in 05,08,11,13, 15,17. In 2016 a partial re-seal was carried out including off side awning rail and front side window, three front windows and some side trim.
During ownership I have also replaced the micro switch unit in the cassette loo incorporating blade rather than glass fuse and a new pump. New on board water pump, replaced skylights with Hekies, and this month replaced both rear light clusters at a cost of £80. She is also fitted with Tyron Bands.
This is not a concourse van and like most classic cars there is and there is work to do and room for improvement, however as is she is a usable caravan in fact we have just come back from 10 nights in the Forest of Dean. There is some paint fade to the fiberglass front roof and rear, the blinds need work though all can be operated and we have replaced the fly screen material. The oven thermostat does not cut in but we still use the oven, toilet door needs trim at top, don't forget this is a coachbuilt van with wood interior.
Despite the classic looks it has all the mod cons of a modern van (less microwave) Cassette loo
Gas heater with Blown air system.
We also have full and porch Isabella awnings to go (not new)
She is plated at:
950 Ex Works
1160 Max Allowed
Think I've remembered everything she is Cris registered and comes with some original doc's, tows well. I also have an article about the history of Castleton Caravans which is an unusual story.
