A truly remarkable example of one of the finest Ferraris of the 1960s, this car has been fully restored with no bolt unturned. With less than a handful of owners and previous long-term ownership, this motorcar is ready to be enjoyed.
Launched at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show the Ferrari 330 GTC was an immediate success being praised for its sparkling performance, its fabulous looks and, thanks to its independent rear suspension, its composed handling. Fifty years later it is considered to be one of the finest cars of this type for the era.
Built in 1966 as the tenth car to leave the assembly line, our motorcar finished in Grigio Argento over Nero Franzi, is one of the very first Ferrari 330 GTC’s built. Distributed to Parauto Snc Genova, Italy in left-hand drive with metric instrumentation, the car came equipped with Campagnolo ‘knock-off’ alloy wheels and was delivered new to her first owner Mr Bianchi of Imperia, Italy in April of 1966 with the registration IM 54159.
Having covered 27,000 km’s by April of 1968, Mr Bianchi sells the motorcar and her new home now being Pennsylvania, USA. By 1977, she now resides in New York, USA under the ownership of Mr Robert Culver.
Mr Culver keeping the motorcar for over 34 years until 2011. Under his custodianship undertaking a bare metal restoration by Berlinetta Motorcars in New York circa 2008, as well as adding a new set of Borrani wire wheels. The mileage not increasing significantly as the vehicle had been stored from 1980-1996. Mr Culver’s 330 GTC also being famous with appearances in American Gangster and School for Scoundrels!
Acquired by its last custodian in 2016, the motorcar has received a full restoration down to bare metal with new trim by Tappezzeria Luppi in Connolly Vaumol 8500 Black and an extra set in Connolly Vaumol 3171 Red, as well as her extra set of Borrani wire wheels.
