First registered in January 1968, built in December 1967 and supplied through University Motors in London. Tartan red with black leather interior, piped red - this is the original colour scheme
I am the 8th owner, the previous owner having owned the car for 10 years, the owner before him having had the car for 16 years. I have owned her for 3 years with trouble free motoring in Europe and the UK.
The previous owner had a full restoration in 2008 using the original body shell, so the shut lines are all as per factory. This included bodywork and a bare metal respray, and a full photographic record of this is with the car. The car was re-trimmed with cream leather, but I have put the interior back to the original colour scheme. A full mechanical overhaul also took place. Overall the previous owner spent £30000 bringing the car back to near perfect fully usable condition. Recorded mileage 92225 (this is probably correct).
The engine was rebuilt in 2011 to stage 2 spec. Rolling road tuned last year, and a programmable distributor fitted for maximum efficiency. The engine produces 160 bhp, and 160 lb/ft torque.
I had the car checked over by the MG Owners Club workshop, and the following work was undertaken to deal with all recommendations:
New rear springs
New overdrive oil seal
The car has been in full use since purchase with no issues. Fantastic to drive with overdrive, and perfect for touring (fast or slow) with long legged cruising and a very comfortable and warm cabin.
The car comes with a full history file plus:
MOT to July (it is now MOT exempt although I would recommend an MOT regardless)
Historic zero rate road fund licence
Handbook & Workshop manual
Bills back to 1985
Various other documents including period road test
Photographs back to 2005

1968 MG C GT – £22,500
This MG C GT is a great taste of the 60’s and is a perfect example of why these cars are so desired in today’s market. Due to low sales, a short production time and for being a very controversial vehicle, the MG C has attracted attention for most of its lifespan.
