I am selling my lovely 1939 BSA KM24 Gold Star. Matching numbers and known history.
My Gold Star is one of seven surviving 1939 Gold Stars with actual matching numbers, ie. the same number for engine and frame. First registered on the 10th of March 1939, the Gold Star still carries the original Danish registration number. Also comes with a copy of the original registration documents.
Only about 560 Gold Stars in total were produced pre-war (for 1938 and 1939) so a rare bike indeed.
The Gold Star is an older restoration and now presents with a lovely patina. Not mint condition but very well cared for and lovely for it.
Mechanically very good and always well maintained. Beautiful sound, loud but not intrusive.
A rare and lovely bronze TT carb is fitted.
The Gold Star has incorrect rear stand, number plate holder and lifting handle but I have all the original items to go with the bike. Rear stand has been painted and is ready to fit, lifting handle and number plate holder needs paint.
Please see link for a video of the bike running from cold:
I can assist with shipping and can recommend Chas Mortimer for a reliable and professional service.
I could be interested in a swap for a Norton CS1 camshaft (cricket bat), Garden Gate Manx or pre-war Vincent Meteor/Comet. Money either way, depending on the condition.
