With a full restoration underway, it was decided to make some modern upgrades to this matching numbers classic Jaguar which would make for a more responsive, reliable and comfortable drive. -4-speed synchromesh gearbox (original Moss gearbox still present)
-Stainless steel tubular sports exhaust system
-Adjustable shock absorbers
-High torque starter
-4 piston vented brakes
Now finished in a beautiful combination of Black and retrimmed period correct Connolly Vaumol Red leather with matching black mohair hood, ensuring a true and authentic cabin experience. In September 2016 Mr Pocock sold the E-Type to its current owner who kept E-Type UK on to service and maintain the vehicle to the highest standard.
In the following years, the E-Type was stored safely at the E-Type UK Kent based facility with very little use. In more recent months this desirable Series 1 has taken part in various prestigious Concours events such as the Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance, California. The peak of the Monterey Car Week, the Tour d’Elegance is the best moving motoring museum around, with the tour taking a journey around the Monterey Peninsula's picturesque seaside roads.
